Dr. Yecun Wu is a Stanford Energy Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Physics, working with Prof. Steven Chu and co-mentored by Prof. Yi Cui. His research spans interdisciplinary areas including quantum sensing, quantum materials, energy storage, and sustainability, in collaboration with Dr. Yan-Kai Tzeng at SLAC. Currently, Dr. Wu focuses on addressing critical challenges in the energy sector through the application of optical technologies.

He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, where he worked with Prof. Yi Cui and in collaboration with Prof. Harold Y. Hwang. During his doctoral studies, he developed innovative electrical control to tune the properties of two-dimensional materials using guest species, opening new pathways for their applications in quantum science and energy technologies.
